Review of The Hand That Rocks the Cradle (1992) by Susan J — 15 Mar 2009
Another in the long line of crazy chicks w/knives & vengeance on their minds movies made in the late 80's to early 90's. Still pretty damn good though. Rebecca De Mornay' has never been hotter nor better than the highly disturbed nanny Peyton Flanders.
Although I thought the character of the mom was too naive & stupid to take seriously or really care about, but still believable enough not to completely ruin the script. A stronger Character there would have made it better as the nanny would have had to be even more clever & not have such easy pickings.
Sure they caught on finally, but by then they all could have been hacked in their sleep if she wasn't dead set on making her targeted victim feel the pain she felt. Its a good lil movie. Not great by any stretch.
