Review of The Hand That Rocks the Cradle (1992) by M H — 06 Dec 2011
Great suspense thriller, a tale of cold revenge. Was very well regarded when it came out, and I enjoyed watching it in the cinema. I was surprised to see its rating languishing a little, and felt moved to speak up for it.
Perhaps the 2001 remake which was not so well regarded has driven it from our collective memory.
An excellent performance by the delicious Rebecca De Mornay.
Definitely worth a watch if you havent seen it, one of the highest grossing movies of 1992 (Twelfth, after Cline Eastwood's Unforgiven at 11th).
