Review of The Guyver (1991) by Mike F — 01 Aug 2007

I cant rate this movie as high as I would like because of the simple fact that its really not that great. I really like it but after watching it recently I can see a lot of flaws. The acting is decent at best and Mark Hamill seemed like kind of a weird addition to the cast.

On the upside though, the effects and the creatures looked really good as well as the Guyver suit itself. The action was pretty good and everything but it does seem kind of childish as far as the movie goes.

Ive seen bits and pieces of the anime cartoon and its quite a bit more violent which is why Im surprised they decided to tone it down so much. Overall, its a pretty decent movie...
