Review of The Guyver (1991) by Naisi T — 22 Nov 2007
Comfortably straddling that zone, somewhere so-bad-it's-good and just-plain-bad sits The Guyver (or Mutronics as I was introduced to it). Credit has to be given to the creature effects: exemplary in their execution though they're often lacking imagination in their designs.
The script is crass, the acting laughable (and occasionally painful) but it still has a certain, cheesy charm.
