Review of The Guns of Navarone (1961) by Leetal P — 16 Jan 2008
Clearly a Hollywood "really-really-good-movie-that-will-be-remembered-but-not-in-the-Citizen-Kane-sort-of-way" movie. Plenty of fun and some really extreme action, even by today's standards.
Gregory Peck climbing the side of a 40-story cliff with no ropes? How can it get more tense than that?
