I can sum it up in one word: boring. Even with all the action going on, I kept checking my watch. Sean Penn did what Sean Penn does, brood and take himself way too seriously. His character in this movie had zero charisma and didn't really give you any reason to root for him.
The plot was a complete mess. Even right after watching it I really couldn't explain why the bad guys were bad. This was like a movie in which Liam Neeson read the script and decided to pass.
