There's a job I wouldn't want. A 9-1-1 operator. Jake Gyllenhaal plays a cop assigned to man the 9-1-1 operator station during a really rough time for the city of Los Angeles. It takes a special person with patience, and just the right psychlogical facilities to go through what a 9-1-1 operator must go through.

And Jake Gyllenhaal's face tells the story in this taut psychological thriller where Jake must struggle with his own demons as he tries to save the life of a woman in danger on the other end of the phone.

For a movie set in basically one location, and with Jake is your face for most of the 90 minutes, I was never bored, and I felt his pain as he came to grips knowing that in the end, the truth will set you free.
