Review of The Guilt Trip (2012) by Gavin W — 11 Mar 2013
A blah comedy. Streisand is good as the Jewish mother, Rogen is so-so as the Jewish son. There just aren't that many laughs, and parts of the film are just plain annoying. It is so-so sitcom jokes punctuated with sitcom sentiment.
One of the best parts is an ad-libbed outtake shown at the end. The actors are clearly not the problem, so that leaves the screenplay and the director.
