Review of The Guilt Trip (2012) by Harry J — 21 Mar 2013
If you come here expecting a wacky comedy, you're going to be sorely disappointed. But if you come here expecting an intimate portrait of a mother and son's relationship, you've come to the right place. Despite some awkward moments, the film really feels personal and heartfelt. Streisand is better than anything she's ever been in, and Rogen is as good as always as awkward yet protective Andy.
Sure, there are few funny moments, but at heart it's a dramedy, and it feels so real. It's a good movie.
