Review of The Guilt Trip (2012) by Dinesh P — 01 Jun 2013
I am all for the buddy-buddy trip cross-country. Due Date was surprisingly satisfying. Of course these movies really took off with Planes, Trains and Automobiles....but goodness, Seth Rogen and Barbara Streisand stretched here.
Unfunny, weak script. Even with only two characters to mess with, the potential relationship these two have is wasted by an extremely boring plot line, which is funny because most of the movie is about Rogen's product he can't sell cause he's too boring.
The mother/son relationship is nice to watch, but can't get dark enough without broaching a weird vibe. Pass.
