Review of The Guilt Trip (2012) by Monique Y — 02 Jan 2014
Hummm, I wouldn't describe this movie as a comedy. If I evaluate it as such, I wouldn't give it a single star. But then, there are the other aspects. It's well humored, has an easy to follow plot to make it light enough, and without doubt, it delivers a compelling message.
What can be tougher than your relationship with a parent? Even in the rare cases in which both parties concur they have a great relationship, reality is that each side knows exactly how to irritate the other and drive them nuts every now and then. It simply comes embedded in the package. And its an unavoidable journey. So, we are all survivors of guilt trips, aren't we? Worth watching!
