Review of The Guest (2014) by Brandon V — 28 Jan 2015
There are few directors out there who understand genre better than Adam Wingard. If "You're Next" was an affectionate criticism of slasher tropes that turned into a badass action movie, "The Guest" is the reversal of the formula. It's action action action BAM slasher time. Just cool as hell. Not much more and certainly nothing less.
Also the soundtrack for this movie is insane and the poster sucks. it's such a bad poster what the hell.
