Hmmm... a little bit of Black Hawk Down mixed with your generic rookie/father figure considerations in a coast guard context. Hadn't seen a Costner flick in a while and had already lost faith in him so in that sense I was pleasantly surprised.
Thought however The Guardian would have been a tad more funny due to some trailer I saw many moons ago. Wouldn't watch it again but neither do I regret watching it in the lack of better things to do.
Very predictable however.
