According to a posting in a CG website, this movie is the Coast Guard version of "Top Gun." Seen on a bumper sticker: "Support Search & Rescue - Get Lost(!!!). During hurricane Katrina, the USCG worked around the clock to rescue residents - this is shown at the very end of the movie.
