Review of The Guardian (2006) by Andrew T — 13 Mar 2012
This was a pretty striking movie and I don't get how it did as bad as it did. It has some issues like every movie but it really is intensely directed. The open water scenes seemed a bit redundant with no new factors playing into the story but it really made it in the end.
Really great. Kutcher and Costner do pretty good as a main duo you wouldn't expect but the movie as a whole makes a good balance between action, romance, and drama. A film that you'll think about a lot even if you hated it.
It has one of the most powerful scenes you will ever see and never forget. Great story. No question Kutcher's best film that he'll probably ever do and one of Costners best ilm to date.
