Review of The Guardian (2006) by Carolannc. — 01 Oct 2006
I just saw a matinee on Monday afternoon which was half full. It was so quiet that you could hear a pin drop. The characters were so likeable that you felt for each and every one. Yes, the movie was a bit too long and was also very intense in that it made me feel queasy.
If I cared enough for the characters then the movie did what it was supposed to do because it felt so real. I absolutely loved it and recommend it to everyone. The acting was first rate and the ocean scenes were riveting.
All the side stories were tied up in the end nicely. As for the critics, they had to be watching something else.
