Review of The Guard (2011) by Pete P — 08 May 2012
It's a comedy as much as a character study. This film's characters are really well written and portrayed with fantastic depth. The complexity of Brendan's Celtic cynicism against Cheedle's American idealism exposes a fantastic platform to tell a story as well as comment on how the appearance of things can be divided from their true moral place.
Great comedy. Great drama. Great film.
