Review of The Guard (2011) by Eva M — 10 Feb 2013
Brendan Gleeson steals the show, but everyone else plays their part in a really entertaining film. Some of the dialogue is viciously hilarious, well-informed, and beautifully dead-pan. But amongst the sardonic humour and sporadic violence, are scenes of quiet reflection and subtlety.
