Review of The Guard (2011) by Reid V — 17 Jan 2012
This movie is really fucking great. It's got an AWESOME performance from Brendan Gleeson, excellent writing, fabulous soundtrack and an incredible sense of style in how to get things across. That's probably the most impressive thing about the movie, it's got this really stylish feel without even trying and it helps carry the movie along with Brendan Gleeson.
But at the same time, I expected this movie to be better. That's not to say this movie isn't worth seeking out, because it is and I would definitely recommend it.
