Kayako and Toshio's curse continues with the ''The Grudge 2'''s only survivor, Jake, who's now confined to a psychiatric hospital after his family's alleged suicide. When the curse of the Grudge finally kills him too, news reaches a mysterious young woman in Japan who tries to stop the curse once and for all.
As for the scary parts, we all know what to expect so the ending wasn't really a surprise.
