Review of The Grudge (2019) by 313Btfu — 10 Jan 2020
The Grudge in name only - the film has all off the negatives from the original three American films and none of the positives. Kayako and Toshio, the buoys keeping the original films from the depths of absolute mediocrity, are absent and instead replaced with generic horror movie ghost-zombies.
A nonsensical and at times confusing plot, unoriginal scares, and an ending that leaves the audience scratching its head (in a bad way) make this movie nothing more than a Hollywood cookie-cutter horror movie.
