Review of The Grudge (2004) by Steve S — 29 May 2010
** (out of four).
I know a lot of people who think this is the second-coming of horror films, but to me is is a mostly unscary, predictable, and at times annoying minor horror flick.
Sarah Micheller Gellar plays and exchange student to Japan, studying social work. She agrees to step in when to watch an elderly woman when her nurse fails to show. She gets more than she bargained for when she starts hearing haunted sounds throughtout the house.
Most of the frights come from false scares, just to make the audience jump at nothing important.
