Review of The Grudge (2004) by Alexander P — 15 Aug 2010
Its not the whorst horror 'remake' I've ever seen, but its not that good either. Lets start off with the actings. Sometimes ots good, but most of the time its average and not convincing at all.
Sarah Machelle Gellar is really good, but she can't really carry a movie on her own. Theres a bunch of supporting actors, but there bad or boring, so not really woth mentioning. Theres some geunine jumps in this movie, but theres only about 3.
The tohers are either predictable...or just not scary. I have to adimt, I did just a few times in this movie, but after a while they were just stupid, and I could predict when they were gonna happen. This movie has a really interesting plot, but its excecuted non-interestingly.
Theres no character developement on our actual main characters. Its very cliched, useless, and dumb. The dialogue is crappy and clunky. But if your looking for something kind freaky-ish then the Grudge isn't all bad.
