Review of The Grudge (2004) by Serkan S — 18 Apr 2011
Aside from the initial shocker and some repetitive jumpy scenes, it has full of cheap horror cliches, trite story, no background, unconvincing characters, and terribly predictable plot. When it comes to mystery/horror genre, I like smart, 'mind-blowing' movies that push me, agitate me, make me think and nail me to the couch with its charm and 'intelligence' with both its style and substance.
Unfortunately, "The Grudge" lacks all these essentials which make it just mediocre as a horror flick..
