While I can't compare it to the original (because I've never seen it) I've always been more than impressed with this American remake of the popular Japanese Horror. Sarah Michelle Gellar is perfect as Karen, the woman haunted by Kayako.
I also love the sup-plots and how every minor character has their own sequence, and while the film is out of order I think that worked perfectly! It also remains to be very creepy no matter how many times you see it, and any Horror fans should enjoy it!
