Review of The Grudge (2004) by Adam M — 15 Aug 2011
Like The Ring before it, The Grudge is one of the better remakes of a Japanese horror. Sarah Michelle Gellar takes the lead as a nurse living in Tokyo who gets exposed to a curse that messes with the person before killing them then spreading the curse onto another victim.
Of course, its the powerful stories that have set the remakes apart from the originals but this is pretty faithful to the original and overall is an effective horror film with some decent scares and good building tension, especially at the films climax.
