Review of The Grudge (2004) by Billruller — 24 Feb 2012
I think I've said this to every website except this one, I AM TERRIFIED of this movie. I get nightmares of Kayako making those belching noises so close to my ear, I was scared to death to open my eyes.
I have no idea why people hate this movie. Of course they always say "It's not scary b/c it's not realistic." But hears what I ask them, "Well what if it is? How frightening would it be to see something like THAT come after you.
She wouldn't stop chasing you until she kills you. Also, she will appear anywhere, your sheets on the bed, in your closet, mirror, hoody, THERE IS NO ESCAPE!" and then they never answer that b/c they would be scared.
A lot of people say The Ring is scarier...I don't understand how though. The Ring only had 1 terrifying scene, but the rest of the movie was dialogue. It shouldn't be compared to this! The only thing I didn't like about this movie are the sequels, THAT'S IT! I don't care what people will say, this IS a terrifying movie whether you like it or not.
