Review of The Grudge (2004) by Ninon M — 24 Aug 2017
'The Grudge' had been presented to me as an accomplished horror film, attaining a rare amount of frights and cold sweats. But it's actually not much more than standard horror - a film which is neither good nor bad, and consequently forgettable.
'The Grudge' is the type of film which does not manage to be thoroughly unsettling and haunting; it's the type which asks for patience while doing (without much effort) the necessary stuff to introduce and then deliver a few short and cheap frights which altogether last no more than 5 minutes, and aren't worth exhausting hour and a half spend to wait for them.
