Sequels to crappy horror flicks can not be given high standards, The Grudge 2 was a prime example. Shimizu & Susco's script was as plain and unoriginal as the original grudge, I have no clue why this series was considered a hit in Japan.
I'm assuming the original Japanese feature was alot more horrifying. Oblivious teenagers, supernatural killers stalking their prey and mysterious disappearances-just your run-off-the-mill horror flick with no surprises.
