Review of The Groomsmen (2006) by Canem C — 24 Apr 2009
In this comedy-drama written and directed by Edward Burns (who also stars in it) we are told the several stories about the groom Paulie (Edward Burns), who has no cold feet about getting married and his 'groomsmen': a gay guy named TC (John Leguizamo) that struggles to be accepted (and is accepted by everyone), Dez (Matthew Lillard) a happily married man with kids, Mike (Jay Mohr) who tries to get over his ex (when he is not out having fun) and Jimbo (Donal Logue) who hides a terrible sickness from his wife (the fact that he can't have children) and of course the future bride Sue (Brittany Murphy) who struggles for more screentime in this boring ass excuse for a movie.
"The Groomsmen" is nothing more than a big bore. It's not funny, not exciting, not clever and not worth seeing, which is a shame for it's pretty good cast.
