I took my child to see this expecting to be bored out of my mind.
How many times can you retell the same story? And that Jim Carrey mess was a nightmare. I was actually pleasantly surprised by this. Th animation was pretty darn cute and the story, while similar to what we all know and love, was fleshed out enough that it was actually kind of sweet. The new grinch being more of a misunderstood curmudgeon than outright meanie.
The little ones will probably love it, and parents won't hate it. So that's about middle of the road ok.
