Review of The Grinch (2018) by Armando A — 03 Dec 2018

I went into this movie thinking I was going to hate it; I am a huge fan of the original movie (and the book) and I detest the Jim Carrey version, so I figured this would be no different. I was wrong. This movie was lovely! I liked that it kept very close to the original story, and that the parts added only helped illuminate the backstory of the Grinch (Why DOES he hate Christmas so much?) and added a sweet side story for Cindy Lou Who, who in this movie is way more than two but that doesn't bother me.

I took my Girl Scout troop and their parents to see it, and the girls adored the movie and the parents left without a dry eye. It's touching, funny, heartfelt, and sweet. I am so happy to have been wrong about this movie.
