Review of The Grey (2012) by Cosmin R — 30 Jun 2013
The acting and writing in this is breathtaking. Whatever role Liam Neeson takes, he puts in 120%. Based off the trailers, you would think it was a generic movie about Liam Neeson kicking some wolf ass... that couldn't be farther from the truth.
This movie is about survival and accepting the fact that not everyone will survive. There is a scene where he is talking a guy through death. It is the most powerful scene I have seen all year and is a moment that will make your heart drop. All I want now is to have him there when I die.
I give my highest recommendations for this movie. I will say that if you are going in expecting to see Liam Neeson punch some wolves, you will hate the movie. This is a drama, not an action movie.
