Review of The Grey (2012) by Renzo V — 03 Mar 2014
"NEESON VERSUS WOLVES".
- 'The Grey' is a 2011 adventure thriller from Joe Carnahan (Smokin' Aces)starring Liam Neeson (Schindler's List, Taken). A simple but very likable plot that is based on the short story 'Ghost Walker', filled with suspense that turns your blood icy cold and put you on the edge of your seat. The flickering eyes in the dark and the howls are really scary. Neeson's performance can only be praised. I would defiantly recommend it. "Live or die on this day.".
A team of oil workers depart from Alaska to go home. The airplane comes across a heavy storm and crashes. Huntsman John Ottoway (Neeson), who was hired by the oil company to protect the employees from dangerous animals surrounding the site, wakes up in the snow and sees the plane wreck. Six other men have survived. In a no-man's-land of snow, the group looks to Ottoway as a leader. The men will have to work together in order to stay alive. The bitter cold seems their biggest enemy, but something else lurking in the dark. A pack of hungry wolves is out to get them. Who will survive the nightmare?
