The Grey may have only been an average movie if it weren't for the amazing performance of Liam Neeson. This was probably his best role since Schindler's List, it was that good. Overall the movie has good intensity, and it lets the viewer connect with the other characters.
Technically, the movie has some great editing, sound effects, and cinematography. My biggest complaint is the design of the wolves, which looked pretty fake and way to big. But overall, Liam Neeson carries this movie and he does it in a good way.
