The Grey is a somewhat predictable but powerful film about the strength of man and the core of who we are. It runs through some cliché steps, it has inconsistencies, and the characters do stupid errors.

All detract from the film in one shape or form. However, by the end, it is difficult to not be captured by Liam Neeson's character and be involved in his self-reflection. Neeson's acting ability carries this film, and allows it to delve into self-consumption, and the battle within.

The wolves help encapsulate the battles he needs to fight to become true to himself, and in this, the movie ends very well.
