Review of The Grey (2012) by Emma B — 25 Aug 2014
I'm a woman and this is not normally my kind of film however, Liam Neeson was a draw for me cause I love that guy so I gave it a watch, and my god what a film. It's the ultimate man vs wild, nothing much happens but as a viewer I felt obliged to watch the whole movie just to find out what happens to the survivors of the terrible plane crash. Admittedly the end of the movie is shit, but at the same time it is one of the best endings to a movie I've seen in a long time and it does leave u wanting more and to be honest I could watch another 2 hours of it even if was just Liam Neeson vs the wolves, but that's because I am a big fan of his.
I would definitely give this a watch, it might just surprise you and it has one of the most powerful and moving scenes I've ever experience whilst watch a movie, when Liam Neeson very calmly and collected tells one of the survivors (James Badge Dale) that he is going to die, I got the biggest cold shiver ever goosebumps included, it definatley left an impact on me.
