Yes, it's long and that detracts a lot, but the story is so powerful, emotionally absorbing, and absolutely beautiful that The Green Mile is a must see. Fantastic performances, especially by the great-late Michael Clarke Duncan, and an absolutely masterfully composed score by Thomas Newman help the proceedings.
