Review of The Green Mile (1999) by Nicky S — 21 Sep 2013
Awful long, but also awfully good. An absorbing, emotionally powerful movie (I guess the critics got the wording right). It's very touching, but also very sad. It also seems realistic like the Shawshank Redemption (which seems semi-plausible) in terms of it's gritty tones and cinematography, until you get to the miracle stuff and then it seems weirdly real while being pretty implausible.
Still, a good film.
