Review of The Green Mile (1999) by Lameck L — 06 Dec 2018
The Green Mile was an interesting movie that also enlightened me concerning the role of the judicial system and some of issues and concerns that affected the judicial system in the United States of America during the 1930s.
Some of these issues included racial discrimination aspects in the judicial system, lack of equal rights and Justice between the wardens and the criminals and the impacts of negative social relations in the society.
The movie was therefore significant because it clearly portrayed some of the significant issues that affect the relations of individuals in the society. There are various supporting characters in the movie who both enable the movie to portray the themes that are significant in the development of The Green Mile Movie.
The storyline of this movie analyzes the life of a prison supervisor who is in charge of the death row and some supernatural events that he witnessed during his time as the death sentence supervisor. The story is narrated in a flashback form of Paul recalling the events that happened in the Penitentiary during his time as a prison warden.
