Review of The Green Knight (2021) by Chanekecholo — 23 Jan 2022

Here we have one of the most confusing and uncertain films of the year. You must do your homework to understand and enjoy this hypnotic and haunting adventure. Just knowing the five virtues of a knight which are: Generosity, Friendship, Chastity, Mercy and Chivalry, you'll have enough information to understand in more detail the purpose of the film, but, that doesn't mean that it'll solve all your doubts, which will be many.

Even though I didn't understand at first, I could recognize that the script is quite well done, because it has many interesting and iconic dialogues. The performances are quite wondrous and each of them is quite appreciated. David Lowery shows us his most ambitious project to date, the level of production is very high, both production design and visual effects. Not to mention the gorgeous cinematography, one of the most remarkable of the year, I hope it gets an Academy Awards nomination.
