Review of The Green Inferno (2013) by Jem S — 24 Sep 2015

The Green Inferno, this movie was supposed to come out a year ago about this time but production problems happened and Iâ(TM)m not sure what happened but it was on hold and I was very upset because I was very much looking forward to Eli Rothâ(TM)s return to directing, I like some of his films (Cabin Fever 1 & Hostel 1) and when he killed it as the Bear Jew in Tarantinoâ(TM)s Inglorious Bastards.

But Blum House (Hate this studio) came in a bought it and helped Roth out. Now here we are a year later, commercialâ(TM)s and reviews everywhere saying âYouâ(TM)ll stumble out of the theater!â? âIts like a ride into hell!â? basically saying this movie was terrifying and that its so gross you donâ(TM)t want to eat while watching.

Oh yeah and the incident where the girl âPassed outâ? at a festival that they were showing it at, Iâ(TM)m calling all of you who think this movie is âScaryâ? or âreally grossâ? must not watch any horror movies.

this movie was bad, really really bad. Man iâ(TM)m so disappointed I waited a year for this movie. First off we have to wait about 30 minutes until we get to the Amazon and then we have to wait about 20 more minutes until we meet the Natives.

I will admit when they get captured and they arrive onto where the natives are it has a lot of tension and you get anxious cause you heard about of âterrifyingâ? and âbloodyâ? this movie is, and ill admit for about 15 minutes it was, I was so locked in at that moment.

then it became so bland, also we only saw one torture scene! Iâ(TM)m not a fan of blood and gore in my horror movies but I donâ(TM)t mind it, if your movie is about a cannibalistic tribe then you show me that!! We saw it one time, like really.

The acting in this (besides Lorenza Izzo, she is beautiful and has some acting chops on her) was absolutely HORRIBLE some of the worst acting in a movie Iâ(TM)ve seen in a long time, the real tribe that has never acted one in their lives or even knew what a movie was acted better then these âactorsâ?.

The CGI in this movie was so bad that it took you out of the movie and just made you laugh at how unbelievable it looked, also the place crash was really funny to watch cause it looked so fake. If Cannibal Holocaust was what Roth was trying to go for, he failed horribly.

I just canâ(TM)t believe that it ended up like this, and it sucks because you can see the potential for something great in this movie, huge potential but instead it says below average. Please stay away from this movie, Itâ(TM)ll do nothing but anger you because of everything I just told you.

hopefully Knock Knock will be better, but I donâ(TM)t know.
