If you seen the trailers for Cannibal Holocaust or Cannibal Ferox, this film will want you feigning for more. With those two films, they were pretty darn cruel due to the animals being killed onscreen, imaginative torture, and rape. Yet, Cannibal Holocaust was to criticize the media as monsters while Cannibal Ferox was rather mean spirited. This left to wonder what direction would have Eli Roth went? He has of course portrayed his dislike for American ignorance in the film Hostel much to the dismay of the Slovakian government. Here, people have already screamed foul at Mr. Roth for exploiting natives and expressing racist attitudes towards them which ironically are the people Roth has targeted. Self righteous people often coined as social justice warriors, Roth has expressed his detested on film and has served in platter for his and anyone's pleasure who has been fed up with trolls. Yes, the people in the film are described as complacent and self righteous tools who are tortured in imaginative ways. To me, I felt like I was watching Roth's fantasies in one scene where one the fat guy has senses revoked from him. Thank you for being a useless pain in my behind, so I am going take away your right. We of course then have the female we believe is going to survive. She's naive and believes she can save the world and dreams of stopping female circumcision which we unfortunately see photos of in one class lecture before randomly moving to a lesson about ants. I have feeling those two subjects will appear in the film later. I really like Roth's expression here by flipping the bird or slicing at the target he has felt hostility. The complain about the so-called justice warriors I believe I tried to understand are that a lot of them do nothing, but rant on the Internet and feel that life and expression should meet "their" (if it's based on one person or an entire) requirements. These aren't the people that after real life issues, but go after the entertainment industry or entertainers or artist for a content they either did not agree or were offended. The better explanation came AlphaOmegaSin whose rant on YouTube was one I love. He went after so-called social justice warriors who rather have interest in complaining a video game or about music will make the(ir) world a better place. Unlike Malala Yousafzai who was shot for advocating human rights and education for women in women, the social justice warriors come off as twenty first century Tipper Gore in a nutshell. Roth of course takes that nut and smashes to his imaginative fullest extreme. However, his film is without its flaws like following the same standard of a slasher film with females being tortured with worries of the on the genitalia. Guys suffer horrendously too, but never do we worry about the attack on the genitals. There is one scene of course with a tarantula, but we won't see animal cruelty. A lot of subjects and themes in cannibal genres are very moderate if you seen the cannibal genre. What we are left is Eli Roth's take on the cannibal genre that is not as horrible as I expected it to be and often ridiculed with off the wall humor. Of course, the thing Green Inferno suffers from is it explores areas that were already explored in South Park's episode, "Rainforest Shmainforest". However, for Roth's unapologetic film, I will recommend and give Green Inferno three stars. I thinks it's good, but I did wanted more after seeing the trailer for Cannibal Holocaust and Ferox.

Note: word was the Eli Roth showed the villagers in Peru the film Cannibal Holocaust who then gleefully agreed to do the move. Neocolonialism.
