Eli Roth went a bit soft on us here and it's on no level that Cannibal Holocaust is. It was good though and, I liked it, but it's not nearly the special effects extravaganza I was expecting. Either way, it made me sort of look forward to the sequel.
Also, it is darkly funny in spots and I don't know why I wasn't expecting that.
