What a turd of a movie, genre-specific or not. Bad script, bad acting, bad direction, bad special effects. My favorite scene is when the captives (after witnessing their friend being dismembered and early enough alive) decide to argue amongst themselves about the intentions and commitment to their activist's cause.
Another gem is the shave underarms of the cannibal tribe's female leader. Top notch. Good eye for authenticity Mr. Roth. Reminded me of The Ruin only BAD. And yes, I tend to be a found admirer of horror movies.
