Review of The Green Inferno (2013) by Jonathan G — 26 Dec 2015
The Green Inferno is a lazy attempt to cash in on the old cannibal films of the 70's and 80. It's about a group of college activists who go to save the rainforest and they end up crash landing and they end up in the hands of a tribe of cannibals and they are killed off in gruesome fashion.
This is from director Eli Roth so there's a lot of people being tortured and ripped apart. I was not a fan of this film it feels like Eli Roth is just rehashing material from his other films and not to good effect.
The jokes fall flat and the characters are so unlikable that I didn't feel the least bit sorry when they started getting killed off. This is a movie that just feels slapped together and it was just not very entertaining to sit through.
