Review of The Green Inferno (2013) by Chris F — 19 Feb 2016
The Green Inferno is a disgusting movie. There are a lot of blood and guts (signature Eli Roth). I nearly puked during this film. The characters are very unlikeable, so I had a lot of fun watching them got tortured and killed.
Unfortunately, the fun stuff only starts halfway through the film. The first half is horribly bad. It is boring. The acting is really bad, except for the main girl. She wasn't horrible. Some of the satire didn't work as much as it could've.
Eli Roth's films have been a mixed bag for me. I enjoyed Hostel, but I absolutely hated Knock Knock. This film, though is a mixed bag. But the ends do not justify the means. The beginning was so awful that I cannot recommend this film.
