Review of The Green Inferno (2013) by Brian S — 23 Oct 2016
While it's not Eli Roth's best movie, it will indeed delight his fans with some fucked up decapitation scenes and non stop excess violence. It's a brutal and merciless film, and I praise it for using little CGI, the practical effects in this flick are good, but the little CGI that there is looks pretty bad.
The indeginous make-up is also very creative. I like the cannibal throw back and homage to the Italian exploitation cannibal films of the 80's. Overall, it' not necessarily a masterpiece, but I still recommend it for lovers of gore.
