Review of The Green Hornet (2011) by Santiago S — 13 Jan 2012
I really liked this film. I thought it was smart and funny, but not in that split-my-sides way. I've never read the comics, so I went into this film not knowing much about the character, which, I think, allowed me to approach this movie with an open mind.
Not once did this movie bore me. When it wasn't funny, it was delivering action, and vice versa. The relationship between The Hornet and his unnamed sidekick provides for most of the comedy in the movie.
The only thing I didn't like about this film is the fact the plot might have been a little too simple. That, and the bad guy. Despite his attempts to make himself scary, "Bloodnovsky" just didn't feel like the kind of guy that will have anybody running for their lives, and thus requiring a superhero.
Other than that, it was a great film, and I would definitely go see it if you haven't already.
