Review of The Green Hornet (2011) by Grant S — 15 Jan 2012
This film was awkward just like Seth Rogenâ(TM)s character. In some scenes, this awkwardness makes the film almost painful to watch, but then in others the awkwardness works. Take the use of music, for example.
"Twisting the Night Away" by Sam Cooke was use horribly in this film making the scene have a weird undertone. However, this same awkwardness was in the scene where the characters sang along to "Gangsta's Paradise" by Coolio, yet due to what was told about the characters up to this point, this song choice worked very well.
Overall, this combination of misses and minor hits makes for a pretty mediocre and yet another very forgettable comic book film.
